Users should be aware that information contained or referenced in this website is for reporting alleged violations of the Medicinal and Adult Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MAUCRSA), and its implementing regulations only. Changes may be periodically made to the information herein; these changes may or may not be incorporated in any new version of the publication. Construction of the disclaimers above and resolution of disputes thereof are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Public Disclosure
Federal and State laws exist to ensure that government is open and that the public has a right to access appropriate records and information possessed by State government. At the same time, there are exceptions to the public’s right to access public records. These exceptions serve various needs including maintaining the privacy of individuals. Both State and federal laws provide exceptions. All information collected at this site becomes public record that may be subject to inspection and copying by the public unless an exemption in law exists. In the event of a conflict between this disclosure and the California Public Records Act, the Information Practices Act of 1977, Government Code section 11015.5, the Federal Privacy Act or other law governing the disclosure of records, the applicable law will control.

Additionally, the Department has adopted a Privacy Policy, effective June 14, 2023. The Department values the security and privacy of your personal information and is committed to protecting your privacy rights. The Department seeks only to collect relevant personal information that enables us to assist you in investigating and resolving complaints as prescribed by the MAUCRSA (Bus. & Prof. Code, § 26000 et seq.) and Department regulations (Cal. What Happens to Information Submitted to the Department?
If you choose to submit information to the Department, the information will be transmitted through secure lines to our Departmental database. Any private information will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided and will not be shared with another entity except as prescribed by law. 

If you provide us with information regarding an issue that does not fall within our regulatory jurisdiction, we may refer your information to the appropriate local, State, or federal agency on your behalf.

Access to Personal Information
You may review the records maintained by the Department that contain your personal information, as permitted by the Information Practices Act.
